Member Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: July 16, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Doro as a member, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use Doro.
For information about how we collect and use your information, see the Member Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Doro. If you are under 18, you may only use the service with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
To help enforce these eligibility rules, we require you to provide your date of birth after you create or sign in to a member account. If you are 13 to 17 years old, you must also confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Date of birth is used for age verification and eligibility enforcement. Providing false age information is a violation of these Terms. If you indicate that you are under 13, we will not store your date of birth and you will remain on age verification until you provide an eligible date of birth.
If you participate in Doro campaigns and link Instagram, your Instagram account must have at least 500 followers at the time you link it, and must be a Professional (Business or Creator) account as required by Instagram's connection flow.
You are responsible for all activity performed through your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You represent that all information you provide is truthful, accurate, current, and complete, and that you will update it when it changes.
You represent that your use of Doro will not violate any contractual obligations you have to third parties, including without limitation talent, modeling, or other representation agreements.
3. Independent Member; No Agency
Members who participate in Doro campaigns are independent users, not employees, agents, or partners of Doro. Doro does not appoint you as its legal representative, and you are not authorized to make commitments on behalf of Doro.
Your relationship with participating businesses is direct. Doro provides the platform and related tools but does not control your general social media activity outside of campaign participation rules described in these Terms.
4. Endorsements and Advertising Disclosures
When you post content in connection with a Doro campaign, you may have a material connection to the participating business (for example, through a reward, discount, or other benefit). You agree to comply with applicable advertising and endorsement laws and guidelines, including the U.S. FTC Endorsement Guides, and with each campaign's disclosure requirements.
You must not publish campaign-related content that is deceptive, misleading, or fails to disclose required sponsorship or incentive relationships when those disclosures are required by law or by the campaign instructions.
5. Member Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false account information or impersonate others
- Attempt to manipulate rewards, campaigns, or scoring systems
- Post harmful, illegal, infringing, or misleading content through campaign submissions
- Use Doro in any manner that would violate applicable advertising, endorsement, or consumer protection laws
- Collect personal information about other users without authorization
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or bully other users or business staff
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, APIs, or Doro systems
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or other features designed to protect Doro, its users, or third parties
- Modify, reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the operation or integrity of the Doro services
Doro may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, campaign rules, or applicable law.
6. User-Generated Content & Community Safety
Doro includes user-generated content in friend activity feeds, friend profiles, and member-to-member messaging. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
You can report objectionable posts, messages, or users using the in-app report options. You can also block abusive members; blocking immediately removes their content from your feed and notifies Doro for review. Doro reviews reports within 24 hours and may remove content, issue strikes, suspend campaign participation, or lock accounts for violations.
- Do not post or send harassment, hate speech, threats, spam, scams, sexual content involving minors, or other illegal or harmful material
- Use in-app reporting when you see content that violates these Terms
- Use blocking when another member is abusive; blocking also alerts Doro so we can investigate
7. Social Media Account Linking
Doro may require a linked social media account for campaign participation. By linking an account, you authorize us to access limited account information needed for campaign verification, authorize us to use OAuth tokens on your behalf for approved features, and confirm you are authorized to link and use that social account.
You may unlink in Doro settings when allowed, or revoke Doro in Meta (Facebook/Instagram) account settings. Revoking in Meta disconnects Instagram in Doro without deleting your Doro account. You cannot unlink in Doro after you have started redeeming a reward on an active campaign seat — submit your qualifying post or wait for deadline rules to apply.
Details on token storage, encryption, use, processors, and retention windows are described in the Member Privacy Policy.
8. Rewards and Campaigns
Campaigns and rewards are offered by participating businesses, not by Doro. Doro makes no representations or warranties about a business's products, services, reward availability, or fulfillment beyond providing the platform. Reward and campaign eligibility may be limited by date, location, available inventory, and campaign-specific rules.
Doro and participating businesses review campaign submissions using the process below. Only a final Doro admin rejection disqualifies a submission for rewards and points in the way described in these Terms.
How submission review works
- Business approval: When the sponsoring business approves your post in its review dashboard, your submission is approved for that campaign.
- Business escalation: If the business believes your post does not meet the campaign instructions, it may escalate your submission to Doro for review. That is not a final rejection. In the app, your post will show as under Doro review until an admin decides.
- Auto-approval after 7 days: If the business does not approve or escalate your pending submission within 7 days, and has not taken any review action on it, your submission is treated as approved. This applies only while the business has not yet reviewed the post.
- Escalated posts: If a business escalates your submission, it will not auto-approve. It stays with Doro admin until a final decision is made.
- Final Doro decision: Doro admins give the final approve or reject decision on escalated submissions and may override a business approval or rejection when needed. If Doro rejects your submission, you will be notified with a reason.
If a business fails to honor a valid reward or engages in inappropriate conduct during a campaign, report it to info@getdoro.co.
Doro does not guarantee a specific outcome for every report or campaign dispute.
9. Campaign Participation and Strike Policy
When you claim a campaign seat, you agree to follow the campaign instructions and meet applicable posting deadlines shown in the app. Strikes and related penalties are tracked on your member account and primarily restrict your ability to join new campaigns (not general app use). Current rules include:
- When strikes apply: A strike is added when you have already started redeeming an in-store reward and then miss the campaign posting deadline without a qualifying submission. The same strike applies immediately if you remove Doro from Facebook or Instagram (Meta deauthorize) while you have an active seat and have already started redeeming the reward. Missing the initial seat reservation window before redeeming a reward ends the reservation but does not add a strike.
- 1st strike: You cannot join new campaigns for 7 days.
- 2nd strike: You cannot join new campaigns for 30 days.
- 3rd strike: Your account is locked from joining new campaigns until Doro admin unlocks it.
- Voluntary seat release: If you release your seat before finishing, no strike is applied; a rejoin cooldown (typically 48 hours) applies before you can claim the same campaign again. You cannot release your seat after you have started redeeming the reward.
- After reward redemption: When you redeem a reward, your posting deadline may be extended (typically by 12 hours). If you still miss the deadline without a qualifying post, strike rules above apply.
- Post opt-out requests: If you already redeemed and ask to opt out of posting, Doro admin reviews the request. Approval drops the seat without a missed-deadline strike but blocks rejoining that campaign. Rejection may result in the same strike path as missing the deadline.
- Non-compliant submissions: A business may escalate a submission that does not meet campaign instructions to Doro for final review. Doro admins may apply a strike when rejecting a submission; when a strike is applied, temporary campaign-join bans follow the strike rules above (not custom durations). Doro may also lock an account separately for abuse or investigate reports and adjust strikes or bans through admin review.
- Admin discretion: Doro may apply strikes, account locks, or other penalties for policy violations beyond the scenarios listed above. Campaign-join ban lengths are not set independently — they follow strike rules when a strike is applied.
Strike rules may be updated from time to time. You can view current strike status in the mobile app. Doro does not guarantee a specific outcome for every report or appeal.
10. Third-Party Services
Doro integrates with third-party platforms and APIs. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies.
11. Limitation of Liability
Doro is provided on an "as-is" basis without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doro is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
12. Changes and Termination
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, in some cases, provide additional notice. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms. If you disagree with any changes, your remedy is to stop using Doro.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these Terms, campaign rules, legal requirements, or platform abuse.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Massachusetts. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Massachusetts.
