Business Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: May 30, 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating or using a Doro business account, you agree to these Business Terms. If you use Doro on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and "you" and "your business" refer to that entity.

For information about how we collect and use your information, see the Business Privacy Policy.

2. Business Eligibility and Accounts

You represent that you are a legitimate business (or an authorized representative of one) using Doro for commercial marketing purposes, that you are authorized to act for your business and bind it to these Terms, and that if you are an individual representing a company, you are at least 18 years old.

You are not eligible to create Doro campaigns on Doro until you have (a) completed all required public business profile information in your account, including your business name, address, description, and category, and (b) linked at least one supported social media account (such as Instagram). Doro may block campaign creation, publishing, and related features until these requirements are met. Completing your public profile may also be required for your business to appear on the Doro map.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Keep registration information truthful, accurate, and up to date. Notify info@getdoro.co promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Doro may suspend accounts with suspicious activity.

3. Doro's Role

Doro operates a platform that connects local businesses with members for Doro campaigns. Doro is a technology provider and facilitator, not a talent agency, advertising agency, or employer of members. Members are independent users, and there is no employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between Doro and your business by virtue of these Terms or use of the platform.

Doro provides tools for campaign setup, member participation, reward verification, and analytics. Doro does not control or guarantee the content of member social media posts outside the campaign review workflows described in these Terms.

4. Campaign, Rewards, and Redemption

  • You may not create or publish campaigns until you satisfy the account setup requirements in Section 2
  • You are responsible for campaign setup, reward rules, and fulfillment
  • You must honor valid campaign redemptions as configured in your account
  • You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your campaign content, including offer descriptions and expectations

When a member claims a seat and redeems your reward, Doro may provide verification tools such as in-app QR codes, POS discount codes, or other methods you select for the campaign. You are responsible for ensuring front-line staff understand your Doro campaigns and how to honor valid redemptions shown in the app.

Before running campaigns, you should inform relevant staff that members may present Doro reward passes (for example, a QR code or promo code) and train them on your chosen verification method. Treat valid Doro redemptions like other legitimate coupons or promotions. Failure to train staff or honor valid redemptions is your responsibility; Doro is not liable for staff refusal or mishandling due to lack of awareness or training.

If a redemption issue occurs, check the member's reward screen and your business dashboard, or contact info@getdoro.co for support. Repeated redemption failures or member complaints may result in Doro reviewing or restricting your account.

5. Social Media Integrations

Linking at least one supported social account is required before you can create Doro campaigns (see Section 2). To enable campaign and analytics features, you may link business social accounts (including Instagram). By linking, you authorize Doro to use granted platform scopes for approved functionality such as:

  • Account linking and token lifecycle management
  • Campaign submission verification workflows
  • Business analytics and insights dashboards

You may unlink in Doro settings when allowed, or revoke Doro in Meta (Facebook/Instagram) account settings. Revoking in Meta disconnects Instagram in Doro without deleting your Doro business account. You must re-link to create new Instagram campaigns.

You remain responsible for maintaining rights to your linked accounts and complying with platform terms. Token storage, processor details, and retention windows are described in the Business Privacy Policy.

6. Member Submissions, Content, and Strike Policy

Members are independent users. Doro does not control what members say on social media in general, and we cannot prevent members from posting negative opinions or criticism about your business outside of a Doro campaign context. Members retain their own free-expression rights on third-party platforms, subject to those platforms' rules and applicable law.

Doro does not guarantee that every member who redeems a reward will publish a post, that posts will be positive, or that campaigns will achieve any particular marketing outcome. If a member redeems your reward but does not submit a qualifying post, Doro will not refund campaign credits or other fees for that incident, though our strike system and review tools are designed to discourage bad-faith participation.

For posts submitted in connection with your Doro campaigns, you may use the Submission Review dashboard in your business account to review member posts.

How business review works

  • Approve: If a submission meets your campaign instructions, approve it in your dashboard. Business approval takes effect immediately for the campaign and does not require Doro admin review first.
  • Escalate to Doro: If a submission does not meet your instructions, use Escalate to Doro(not a final rejection). You must provide a short reason. The post is sent to Doro's admin team for a final decision. The member is notified that the post is under Doro review, not that they were rejected.
  • Auto-approval after 7 days: If you do not approve or escalate a pending submission within 7 days, and you have not taken any review action on that post, it is treated as approved. This applies only while the submission is still awaiting your first review.
  • Escalated posts: Once you escalate a submission, it does not auto-approve. It remains with Doro admin until an admin approves or rejects it.
  • Final rejection: Only a Doro admin rejection is a final rejection for the member. Business escalation alone does not disqualify a member from rewards or points until Doro makes a final decision.

Doro admins may also review submissions at any time, including escalated posts and posts you have already approved. Doro may override a business approval or rejection when needed for policy enforcement or dispute resolution.

We use business review, escalation, and Doro oversight to address bad-faith participation—including posts made specifically to fulfill a Doro campaign requirement that are deliberately negative, misleading, or abusive toward your business—using in-app consequences such as final submission rejection, reward disqualification, and member account restrictions where appropriate.

If you plan to repost or reuse a member's campaign content in your own marketing, you must obtain permission from that member separately. Doro does not grant you rights to member content beyond what is displayed on third-party social platforms.

If you believe a member abused a campaign post, escalate it to Doro when warranted and contact info@getdoro.co with details. Doro may investigate and, at our discretion, apply member penalties including the strike system below.

Member strike system (summary for businesses)

Members agree to follow Doro's campaign participation rules. Strikes and related penalties are tracked on each member account and primarily restrict the member's ability to join new campaigns (not general app use). Current rules include:

  • When strikes apply: A strike is added when a member has already started redeeming your in-store reward and then misses the campaign posting deadline without a qualifying submission. Missing the initial seat reservation window before redeeming a reward ends the reservation but does not add a strike.
  • 1st strike: The member cannot join new campaigns for 7 days.
  • 2nd strike: The member cannot join new campaigns for 30 days.
  • 3rd strike:The member's account is locked from joining new campaigns until Doro admin unlocks it.
  • Voluntary seat release: If a member releases their seat before finishing, no strike is applied; a rejoin cooldown (typically 48 hours) applies before they can claim the same campaign again.
  • After reward redemption: When a member redeems your reward, their posting deadline may be extended (typically by 12 hours). If they still miss the deadline without a qualifying post, strike rules above apply.
  • Post opt-out requests: If a member who already redeemed asks to opt out of posting, Doro admin reviews the request. Approval drops the seat without a missed-deadline strike but blocks rejoining that campaign. Rejection may result in the same strike path as missing the deadline.
  • Admin discretion: Doro may apply strikes, account locks, or other penalties for policy violations, including abuse tied to campaign submissions, as described in the Member Terms. When a strike is applied, campaign-join ban duration follows the member strike rules (7 days for strike 1, 30 days for strike 2, account lock at strike 3) — not custom admin-chosen ban lengths.

Strike rules may be updated from time to time. Members see current strike status in the mobile app. Full member-facing strike rules are in the Member Terms. Doro does not guarantee a specific outcome for every report or rejection.

7. Business Conduct

You agree to:

  • Act in good faith and provide truthful information about your business and campaigns
  • Comply with applicable laws and advertising standards, including FTC endorsement and testimonial guidelines for campaigns you run
  • Use only content you own or have permission to use in your profile and campaigns, and grant Doro a limited license to display that content on the platform
  • Treat members and Doro staff professionally and respectfully
  • Not pressure members to post specific language or misrepresent campaign terms
  • Not misuse member data or attempt to circumvent the platform (for example, by arranging off-platform deals to avoid campaign rules or tracking)

Doro may provide general guidance or tools to support compliance, but you remain responsible for your campaigns and on-premises conduct.

8. Fees and Billing

Doro uses prepaid campaign credits, not subscriptions. Each credit is a one-time purchase for 30 calendar days of campaign runtime. Prices are shown at checkout and processed securely through Stripe.

You may be required to purchase your first campaign credit during business signup before your account is activated. You may buy additional credits at any time from your business dashboard.

  • Stack credits on a campaign: When you create a campaign, you choose how many credits to apply. Each credit adds 30 days (inclusive). Saving as a draft reserves credits; publishing consumes them.
  • Extend or revive: While a campaign is active, you may add credits to extend the end date. After a campaign ends, you may revive it with credits and a new start date.
  • Unused credits: Credits that have not been consumed remain on your account until you use them. Doro does not currently impose an expiration date on unused credits, but we may update this policy with reasonable notice.
  • No partial refunds: Campaign credit purchases are generally non-refundable once payment succeeds, including if you end a campaign early, do not use all scheduled days, or a member redeems a reward without posting. Payment history is available in your account billing settings.

By completing a campaign credit purchase, you authorize the charge shown at checkout and agree to these billing terms. You are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method where required. Doro may update credit pricing for future purchases with reasonable notice; prices already paid for credits on your account are not affected.

9. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Doro to:

  • Run fraudulent or misleading campaigns
  • Infringe third-party rights
  • Abuse APIs or interfere with service operations
  • Collect personal information about members without authorization
  • Harass, threaten, or otherwise mistreat members or Doro staff
  • Circumvent security measures, rate limits, or other features designed to protect Doro, its users, or third parties

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate business access for violations of these Terms, legal requirements, platform abuse, repeated redemption failures, or sustained member complaints about your campaigns.

You may stop using Doro at any time. Termination does not automatically entitle you to refunds of unused campaign credits except where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive (including limitation of liability and indemnification) remain in effect after termination.

11. Limitation of Liability

Doro is provided on an "as-is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Doro disclaims warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages relating to business use of the service.

Doro is not responsible for member conduct, statements, posts, or failure to post. Disputes between your business and a member are primarily between you and the member, though Doro may assist at its discretion. Doro does not guarantee any particular campaign results, posting rate, or return on investment.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Doro and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, losses, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the platform, your campaigns, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law or third-party rights, or any claim that Doro is your employer or a joint employer of any member.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, in some cases, provide additional notice. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms. If you disagree with any changes, your remedy is to stop using Doro.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Massachusetts law, with venue in Massachusetts courts.
